How we approach an office clearance
Our office clearance teams are experienced, conscientious and provide excellent customer service.
We pride ourselves on always providing an accurate quote. To ensure this, our team may perform an on-site survey first. We will carefully coordinate when the clearance will take place with the property or business owner. This will include agreeing the date and time of arrival, arranging access, discussion of what material is to be disposed of and anything that is to remain, point of contact, and any other essential information. A poorly-executed clearance can distract and disrupt the work of a busy office. This is why we always go the extra mile to ensure our teams are as quick and discreet as possible.
An office can contain a great many different kinds of materials, from electrical equipment, to furniture, fixtures and fittings, paperwork, files, electrical storage devices, and more. We will ensure that they are all disposed of safely and responsibly. As much of it as possible will be recycled, to avoid landfill and minimise environmental impact. If you believe that there is business or customer-sensitive data among the materials we are clearing, which need disposed of in line with GDPR, please discuss this with us so we can ensure it is dealt with appropriately.
Junk-it are Scotland’s experts in Office clearances. This is what we do every day, week in week out. Organising and completing it can seem daunting, but to us, clearing an office is…just another day at the office!
Contact us for a quote, or to discuss your needs, and see why we should be your first and only call.

FAQs
Looking for bulky waste removal? Look no further! With local council bulk uplift becoming more difficult to arrange and waiting times getting longer and longer, it’s time to turn to a professional junk removal service. We will uplift your junk from wherever it’s located, heavy or bulky items do not need to be left kerbside. And, we can arrange the uplift at a time that suits you, we can often offer same day pick ups! We service homes and businesses in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Central Scotland.
We uplift almost anything. The few exceptions are food waste, liquids and hazardous waste. Everything we uplift is sorted and items that can be recycled are taken to the relevant recycling centres, this includes WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), domestic and commercial fridges, wood, metal, paper, cardboard and WUDS (Waste Upholstered Domestic Seating).
Yes! We have many commercial customers. We do everything from clearing out that store cupboard with the broken chair and old Covid screens to full, multi-floor office clearances. We can also remove renovation debris and waste generated from bathroom and kitchen rip outs including white goods and commercial fridge disposal.
Yes! We do regular work for property management companies, letting agents, solicitors and construction companies in central Scotland. Get in touch to discuss your junk removal or property clearance needs via email info@junk-it.co.uk or our online Commercial enquiry form.
No, our service is much better than hiring a skip! We provide truck teams to do all the lifting and loading. We remove almost anything, notable exceptions are food waste, liquids and hazardous material. Bulk waste uplift and rubbish removal can be carried out by our team on the day of your appointment, saving you time and energy! And you only pay for the space your junk takes up in the truck.
We do all the lifting, loading and clean up for you and our charges reflect only the volume of junk we remove. With skip hire, you pay for the entire volume of the skip, regardless of how much you fill.
There is also the added hassle and expense of applying for a skip permit in advance and the fact that you need to do all the loading and clearing up yourself. On top of all that, you usually have to put up with neighbours using your skip to dump their own junk as well!
Our rates are based on the amount and type of junk being removed. Until we see what is to be removed, we can’t give you an exact price. Once at the premises, our team will review the materials to be removed and provide you with a free no obligation quote before any work is carried out. If you are happy with the quote, the work can usually be carried out there and then.
For larger jobs or commercial work, we can arrange a site visit in order to provide a quote and the uplift can be scheduled at a later date, once the quote has been approved and all the invoicing details are confirmed.
The vast majority is recycled or reused by being donated to local charities or taken to specialist recycling facilities. Where those options are not possible we take waste to licensed Waste Transfer Stations where it is sorted and disposed of in the least environmentally damaging way possible.
The way it works is, we arrange an appointment with you for a truck team to stop by. You point out what you would like removed. The driver will tell you how much it will cost based on volume. If you are happy with the quote the guys will load up your junk and take it away. You can view our prices here. We provide free no obligation quotes.
Junk-it is a professional junk removal and property clearance company. Our trucks are branded and our guys wear Junk-it uniforms so we’re easy to recognise! We are SEPA registered so have a Waste Carriers License.
We are fully insured and Safe Contractor and Trust A Trader approved. We can provide Waste Transfer Notes and Certificates of Destruction for sensitive materials like hard drives. If you have any doubts about our reliability, browse our Google reviews for peace of mind.
